BCIF :: Philanthropy Program :: Corporate Philanthropy

Corporate Philanthropy

BCIF is actively working on the development of corporate philanthropy in order to include in future as many companies and entrepreneurs, but also individuals, in nonprofit actions and actions for the general cause. Business subjects may participate in the development of local community in which they operate, by providing aforementioned actions with material and financial support. Companies upgrade their socially responsible management by strategically planned investments, and they invest in the field of corporate philanthropy.

In this way BCIF launches a systematic campaign for enlivenment and reaffirmation of philanthropic ideas and attitudes in our society. A variety of activities were realized, the message of which is that giving for the general welfare should become an everyday and regular part of our lives again.

Every year we grant an award for corporate philanthropy – VIRTUS. The meaning of this prestigious award is to acknowledge and publicly emphasize companies and enterprises which, by their material and financial aid, give the best example to the others, and set standards towards which we should strive in the world of responsible management.

Within the scope of providing help to civil society organizations, since 2007 we have been carrying out a special program for local organizations in Serbia, which provides training and financial aid for fundraising from local sources, and from corporate donors as well.

In cooperation with SSS Team of the Government’s Vice President, we created a project base which serves to connect nonprofit organizations with the business sector.

After two researches on the opinions of the public, we published a publication entitled Messages of Times Past – History and Tradition of Philanthropy in Serbia in the 19th and 20th Century. You may take a look at the publication, or download it here:
