New Competition in the Scope of Goodness ("Dobrota") Program Is Open

A new competition of State Lottery of Serbia (SLS), in the scope of Goodness program which is administered by Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF) is open. Local nonprofit organizations which work in Serbia’s communities (except in city cores of Belgrade, Niš and Novi Sad), and deal with the improvement of the quality of life of the elderly may apply for Goodness program. Maximum amount of donation per each organization is 800,000.00 dinars.

Draft proposal submittal deadline is August, 20th, 2010 until 5 PM.

Projects which will be supported must be aimed at the elderly (above 65 years of age), while the priority will have those projects which offer something new in regard to the activities already implemented by institutions, and which involve social community more (citizens, volunteers, cultural institutions, social institutions, educational institutions, local self-government, businessmen and similar)

The main goal of this competition is the improvement of status and the promotion of the quality of life of the elderly, through the launching of activities for encouragement of their active participation in different areas of social and cultural life, and the improvement of social care in municipalities/towns of Serbia, especially where such manners of support do not exist.
