Ecological Caravan on Ada Ciganlija

After 560 km covered, 30 cyclists will, along with the representatives of institutions, US AID, embassies and companies, mark the end of the great „Oplaneti se! Do recycle“campaign by passing through the goal

Green List of Serbia invites you to participate in the closing of the cycling caravan on Ada Ciganlija, which will mark the end of the great „Oplaneti se! Do recycle“ campaign. The international cycling caravan started in Vranje, on June, 26th, when 30 cyclists started a 600 km journey. They were carrying the message of the ecological campaign by which they want to influence institutions in charge, citizens, ecological organizations and other factors in the society to engage themselves within their jurisdictions more actively in the solving of waste disposal problem, firstly through creating conditions for selection and separation of waste as the necessary condition for the recycling process.

The last three kilometers the cyclists will cover from Sports centre „Milan Gale Muškatirović” in Dorćol to „Jezero“ restaurant on Ada Ciganlija, along with project participants – Balkan Community Initiatives Fund, Young Researchers of Serbia and partners – representatives of Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Telenor Foundation and ASUS company.

Within the scope of „Oplaneti se! Do recycle“ campaign, ecological workshops and waste collecting, waste separating and recycling actions were organized in 12 cities of Serbia. Over 6000 citizens have actively participated until now.
