October Round of Active Communities Program

Balkan Community Initiatives Fund’s (BCIF) competition for Active communities program is in progress.

For Active communities program local associations and informal groups of citizens from Serbia may apply, and the maximum amount of budget is up to 350.000,00 dinars.

The initiatives should be aimed at local community; they should encourage the active participation of the citizens and to bring forth the general benefit to the local community by using local potentials and resources, as well as cooperation with other sectors on the local level. The program is not thematically limited, so project proposals may be aimed at different topics: environment protection, children and the young, citizen participation in the decision making, support to vulnerable groups and their inclusion etc.

Primary goal of Active communities program is the improvement and development of local communities in Serbia, through the encouragement of active citizens’ participation in problem solving.

Deadline for proposal submittal is
October, 13th, 2010 until 5 PM
