“Penny is not petty! “ Action at Nikole Pašica Square
Regarding „Penny is not petty! Giving hand, joyous heart“ campaign, which has a goal to raise awareness of the public on the importance of individual giving, Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF) is inviting you to a public street action which will be held on Saturday, October, 16th, at Nikole Pašica Square in Belgrade, from 11 AM to 5 PM.
In this action, intended for children from dysfunctional families gathered around Children’s Club „Moonlight“ from Subotica, the citizens will be able to show solidarity by putting their contributions in two charity boxes, as well as to fill out a questionnaire on individual giving. They will also have a chance to get more information at two info points. All those who participate in the action of giving will receive a present.
Along with the representatives of City Assembly, United States Agency for International Development and celebrities, the street action will be supported by: Snežana Lakicevic – Stojačic, State Secretary at Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Albert Cevallos, Director of Institute for Sustainable Communities and Svetlana Logar, Research Director at IPSOS Strategic agency.
Total amount of donations, as well as the results of the questionnaires, will be at the disposal of the entire public, and posted on website www.sitnisnijesitnica.rs. In that manner, the public and the media, as well as all the officials, will get an insight in the citizens’ opinions on the importance of individual giving.
