“Advanced Community Advocacy Program in Local Communities” Competition Is Open Until December, 13th, 2010

Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF) is opening a competition entitled Advanced Community Advocacy Program in Local Communities.  In partnership with Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), and with financial help from United States Agency for International Development (USAID), BCIF wishes to encourage and support citizen societies in Serbia in the development of successful models of Advanced Community Advocacy Programs in the local community.

Support to Advanced Community Advocacy initiatives will be given through several steps:

• On the basis of the applications received during the competition, up to 10 organizations will be selected.  Two representatives of each of the ten selected organizations will go through training in Advanced Community Advocacy.  Three three-day seminars are scheduled for January, February and March of 2011.

• After training’s completion, the projects which are the most realistic and which are elaborated in the best manner will receive financial help for their implementation, in the amount of up to 12,000 dollars (the amount will be paid in dinars).

Call for applications with detailed program explanation and criteria may be downloaded here, as well as Project proposal form, which should be filled out and sent to zajednice@bcif.org, until December, 13th, 2010 (until 5 PM) at the latest.  You may contact the office with your questions, or for all additional information.
