«Penny is Not Petty« in Subotica
Regarding „Penny is not petty – Giving hand, joyous heart“ campaign, after Kruševac and Sremski Karlovci, on December, 7th, 2010 a public class on the importance of individual giving was held in Medical high school in Subotica.
Adel Hodža, sophomore at Medical high school said that the concept of individual giving is now much clearer to him, and that this encouraged him to think about how he can help in his own surroundings in the more concrete manner.
Ksenija Graovac, Philanthropy program Manager at Balkan Community Initiatives Fund said: » Positive reactions of high school students of Subotica on the topic of individual giving, as well as their wish to help, give us hope that despite the time of crisis the time of philanthropy among the young is ahead of us. Therefore we continue with the educational public classes in other cities of Serbia, Pančevo, Belgrade and Niš, with a wish to educate the young to participate even more in socially useful actions in their communities, and to help those who are in need of help.«
