Public Class on Philanthropy for High School Students of Pančevo

Regarding „Penny is not petty – giving hand, joyous heart“ campaign, on December 22nd, 2010 a public class on the importance of individual giving was held in Pančevo high school. The students were presented with an opportunity to find out more about the history of philanthropy in our country and the rest of the world, and to get acquainted with the ways to help the vulnerable ones on the example of the famous people who are great philanthropists. The goal of public classes is to educate the young people, in order for them to participate in socially useful initiatives in their surroundings, and to help those who are in need of help.

The idea of „Penny is not petty"humanitarian action is that whenever you get a change, you get an opportunity to help someone. The small change which does not mean a lot to us may change the life of somebody else. The total financial means raised during the campaign will be forwarded to local foundation „Moonlight“ from Subotica, which in cooperation with elementary schools organizes free evening clubs for socially neglected children, where they may get together and participate in sport, cultural, recreational and other programs.
