Competition for Civil Societies for Successful Fundraising Program Is Open
Within Civil Society Advocacy Initiative in Serbia program, in partnership with Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), and with financial help from United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF) will be implementing Successful fundraising program during 2011 and 2012. The goal of the program is to support civil societies in maintaining sustainabilitythrough orienting towards various funding sources, researching new ways for fundraising in the local community and encouraging corporate and individual philanthropy.
During its first phase, the program encompasses three educational modules on fundraising and making fundraising plans. During the next phase BCIF will grant donations for technical support to the organizations whose plans are evaluated as the best, and they will start the fundraising process in their communities. At the end of the program BCIF will give to the organizations the same amount of money which had been fundraised by the organizations, that is the means raised will be in this manner doubled.
Registered civil societies from the territory of Serbia, which exist for more than 1 year, and whose primary scope of activity is the community (town, municipality, city) they were registered in may apply for the program.
Filled-out application and motivation letter should be sent by Friday, March, 11th, 2011 until 5 PM to tijana@bcif.org.
