Evaluation Meeting and Contract Signing – Fundraising from Local Sources Program

On February 10th, withinFundraising from local sources program a meeting was held in Belgrade with the nine organizations which have received the funds for technical support: Center for Creative Development (Knjaževac), Association for the Development of Creativity (Aleksinac), The White Birch (Kruševac), Q Club and ApsArt (Belgrade), The Good People (Valjevo), The Rainbow (Šabac), The Cobra (Donja Trnava) and Green Road signs (Raška).Apart from contract signing, the meeting encompassed going through concrete questions regarding financial management during the fundraising process, as well as the evaluation of the program course up to now.  The organizations also had a chance to present themselves and to discuss about their fundraising plans – activities for which they will try to fundraise, and about concrete methods and techniques they will use in communication with potential donors – the individuals and enterprises in their communities.

During 2010, within Fundraising from local sources program fifteen organizations in total have gone through the trainings in strategic planning process, project and finance management, and fundraising from enterprises and individuals.  They then worked on the making of strategic plans for their organizations, as well on fundraising plan, that is on coming up with an action for which the funds would be raised in their community.  Based on the opinions of BCIF and project consultants’ team, the aforementioned nine organizations produced the best documents, which enabled them to enter the next phase of the program that is to get the means in the amount of 630 euros which would help them to prepare for the fundraising process itself.  During this year the organizations will try to maintain partnerships with local entrepreneurs and citizens – individual donors, and to raise the funds planned, while BCIF will grant them with a donation in the amount of the fundsraised – the funds will be doubled.

Fundraising from local sourcesprogram is being implemented by BCIF, with support from VIA Foundation from the Czech Republic, within Transition Promotion program of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
