New Lineup of Green List of Serbia
Selection Board has reached a decision on the election of thirteen ecological societies, which will participate in Green List of Serbia development program. The selected societies have an opportunity to be full-time members of Green List of Serbia local eco societies network for two years. BCIF and Young Researchers of Serbia are coordinating the network. Mutual initiatives of the future network members will be realized within Oplaneti se! ecological campaign, which will have for its goal the solving of concrete problems in the field of waste management and the promotion of recycling in Serbia through activities on the local and national level.
The following civil societies were selected:
- GM Optimist – Gornji Milanovac
- Porecje – Vucje
- Sphere No – Belgrade
- Scout squad „The Homeland 1093“ – Vranje
- Young Researchers Society – Bor
- Environment Protection Engineers – Novi Sad
- Eco Club „Green Road Signs“ – Raska
- Eco Movement “White Birch” – Krusevac
- Eco movement „Moravski orasak“ – Trstenik
- Society for Environment Protection “Stara planina“ – Pirot
- Green Circle – Backi Petrovac
- Scout Squad „Josif Pancic“ – Nis
- Centre for Sustainable Future „Green zone“ – Knjazevac
Two representatives from each of the selected organizations will go through trainings within which they will acquire necessary knowledge for successful campaign implementation in the field of waste management and recycling. Furthermore, the representatives of the selected organizations will, together with the representatives of BCIF and Young Researchers of Serbia, come up and elaborate in detail the activity plan for the following Oplaneti se! eco campaign. The first training module will be held from Friday, March11th to Sunday, March 13th, 2011 in “Sumadija” hotel in Belgrade
