May Round of Competition for Active Communities Program Is Now Open

Balkan Community Initiative Fund’s (BCIF) competition for Active communities program is in progress. 

Local societies and informal groups of citizens from Serbia may apply for Active communities program, with the maximum budget amount of up to 350,000.00 dinars.

The initiatives should refer to the local community, should encourage active citizens’ participation and bring general welfare to the local community, by using local potentials and resources, as well as cooperation with other sectors on the local level.  The program is not thematically limited, so project proposals may refer to the most diverse fields: environment protection, the children and the young, citizens’ participation and decision making process, support to the vulnerable groups and their inclusion etc.

The basic goal of Active communities program is the improvement and development of local communities in Serbia, through encouraging active participation of the citizens in problem solving.

Deadline for submitting project proposals is May 16th 2011 until 5 PM
