Penny Is Growing

After six months of “Penny is not Petty” campaign, during which money has been fundraised for “Moonlight” foundation from Subotica, the time has come to make a small recap of this philanthropic action.  During the adding up of the results, our heart was getting ever more joyous, in accordance with the action’s slogan “Giving hand, joyous heart”.  Until April 1st 286,229.00 dinars had been raised. 

We believe that the hearts of all our humane citizens and friends of the action will be definitely joyous when the money raised gets invested in new educational and sport activities for the children of “Moonlight” clubs.  Nine of those clubs have been opened so far, and they represent hangout spots for socially neglected children from families with manifold problems. 

The actions has showed that the citizens have a high awareness of philanthropy, and that every contribution, even the smallest one, may be of help when all the contributions are collected and used for the right cause, which has been presented to the citizens from the onset of the action.  We are proud of the educational aspect of the campaign, by which we have presented the philanthropic ideas to high school students on five public classes.  “Penny is not Petty” campaign will continue its activities during April and May, and we are especially looking forward to the volunteer day in “Moonlight” club in Subotica, which will be realized in cooperation with Ernst&Young company.
