Conference on Partnerships on May 18th

Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF), The EU Office for Technical Assistance for Civil Society Organizations in Serbia (TACSO), TheOffice for Cooperation with Civil Societyof theGovernment of the Republic of Serbia, United Nations Global Compact in Serbia andBusiness Leaders Forum Serbia are organizing Conference on Partnerships which will be held on Wednesday, May 18th in Palace of Serbia at 9 AM.

The goal of Conference on Partnerships is to define and promote inter-sector partnerships as an important factor in civil society development.  The conference should provide a platform for discussion, the exchange of good praxis and the realization of the obstacles for cooperation, but also to present the opportunities for the development of inter-sector partnerships.  The experts in public, business/private and civil sector, as well as the media representatives, will participate on the conference as speakers and active participants.

We would like to invite civil society organizations, companies and local and state institutions to apply for the conference.  We need you to send us a filled-out Application form until May 10th 2011 via e-mail at kristina@bcif.org. The number of participants is limited.

Through its mission BCIF supports the development and strengthening of civil society in Serbia, andencourages the making of partnerships in local communities and on the national levelas a mediator between sectors.  The goal of TACSO project is to provide support to civil societies in the countries which use IPA funds.  The support includes the implementation of programs for strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations, technical support to organizations in implementing their activities and the improvement of social environment for civil society actions.  The Office for Cooperation with Civil Society of the Government of the Republic of Serbia promotes and encourages partnerships between the public and civil sector, United Nations Global Compact relies upon the inter-sector partnerships, while Business Leaders Forum Serbia encourages the cooperation between business sector and civil society.
