Penny is Not Petty Campaign’s Finale

How we hung out with Moonlight and showed that when we offer support our heart becomesjoyous!

On Saturday, May 28th, “Penny is not Petty” action’s money box was officially emptied.  The completion of the eight month Balkan Community Initiatives Fund’s (BCIF) campaign was celebrated at „Kizur Istvan“ Elementary school in Subotica.

On this occasion, the volunteers of Ernst & Young company, led by Marko Nikolić and Sonja Jovanović, and the members of Mobile Classroom – the students of private economical school Milutin Milanković from Belgrade, and the little actors of Amateur Children Theater “Pričamo priču” from Smederevo Beatris Meleghy, Milica Krstović and Luka Nešić, led by Gabor Meleghy hung out with the children from Moonlight clubs.

Everyone enjoyed drama workshop, while they had a chance to learn more on fair-play and healthy lifestyle through interactive presentations.   Ana Milenković, Jelena Popović, Filip Gojović, Anđela Koprivica, Tamara Mirković and Luka Ivanović, with help from Dr. Gordana Tripković, Aleksandar Kuzmanović, school psychologist, Vladimir Đorđević, homeroom teacher and Principal Nikola Tesla led the children through the presentations.

Ksenija Graovac, Philanthropy Program Manager at BCIF has given a symbolical check in the amount of 309.885,00 dinars to Dezső Kiss, the President of Moonlight Foundation’s Assembly, who was the founder of the idea for evening clubs for socially neglected children.  Thanks to hard work and persistence that humane idea has resulted in the launch of ten successful children clubs in three cities – Subotica, Novi Bečej and Gornji Milanovac.

The best is yet to come during the upcoming period – Moonlight clubs will be enriched by the content which will be bought thanks to the money which the citizens of Serbia have generously given to Moonlight.  BCIF will be there to note the growth of the clubs and to notify everyone who donated their time and money, and good will primarily, and trusted in BCIF and Moonlight!
