Balkan Community Initiatives Fund will award the second grant in the amount of 3,000 euros to Q Club from Belgrade within Fundraising from local sources program.
The idea of this program is for the participating organizations to receive first financial support within their community, that is to fundraise the means for their activities from individuals and companies in the cities they work in, and then to receive a grant from BCIF. During the fundraising preparations they have at their disposal the initial means in the amount of 630 euros from BCIF. BCIF will present the organizations which manage to fundraise 3,000 euros with the doubled amount (matching grant).
Apart from Q Club, another eight organizations participate in Fundraising from local sources program: Center for Creative Development (Knjaževac), Association for the Development of Creativity (Aleksinac), White Birch (Kruševac), Rainbow (Šabac), ApsArt (Beograd), The Good People (Valjevo), Cobra (Donja Trnava) and Green Road Signs (Raška).
Q Club has been fundraising for the making of standards of psycho-social care for the people with AIDS. The goal of their action is to enable the people with AIDS to have standardized care through health system institutions, with support from Ministry of Health.
