This year’s Centrifuga tumble dried in Banovci for the first time, thanks to the project Culture Realistically of the informal group Danube Cultural Network.  Young enthusiasts have recognized the lack of content as the big problem of the youth in Banovci, and decided to provide the young with something more than “chilling” this summer.

The project consisted of five workshops – audio and video editing, art workshop, archeological ceramics replica workshop, modern dance workshop and ecological workshop.  Each of the workshops introduced the young to the basic work techniques for a certain art medium – from theoretical and practical education in editing programs, modern dance moves, painting techniques to the process of making object out of ceramics.  On the other hand, ecological workshop introduced the younger participants to the world of biodiversity in a creative way.

The final works of all workshops were displayed at an exhibition on October 8th at Cultural center in Stari Banovci, with a great participation of the youth and other citizens.

Danube Cultural Network is one of the eight youth groups whose projects have been supported within Centrifuga 2011 program, which is being implemented by ERSTE Bank and Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF).
