The Good People Organization Has Successfully Completed the Fundraising Process

The Good People organization from Valjevo has successfully completed the fundraising process necessary for the putting up of containers and implementing the competition in collecting PET packaging at schools.  With support from BCIF and VIA Foundation, and within Fundraising from Local Sources program, The Good People have implemented Help the Planet by Recycling project.  Project realization is in progress and the containers for elementary schools have been bought.  Educational workshops for children in the field of environment protection and recycling are in progress.  The children will then continue the peer education at their schools with implementing the competition in collecting PET packaging and Recycle basket tournament.

The Good People have fundraised 325.614.00 dinars in the local community, mainly by organizing a fundraising event, by fundraising through „eco dinar“ action in local coffee shops and by corporate donors. The Good People have received a grant from BCIF in the amount of the funds raised in their local community, that is the maximum grant in the amount of 3000 euros.  The Good People were supported by the citizens, who recognized the importance of recycling for their community, and by the younger generations who will continue to promote the importance of environment protection.
