Fifteen Youth Groups Will Be Trained within We Are On-line! Program

Selection Board for We are on-line! program has decided to include fifteen youth groups in the next phase of the program.  In December 2011 and January 2012 the groups will go through trainings in using Internet as the tool for activism and planning online campaign.

Two representatives from each of the following groups will be invited to the training:

  • BIGZ Cultural Centre, Belgrade;
  • Youth Organized Creative Center - CMOK, Čajetina;
  • European Movement in Banat, Zrenjanin;
  • Support Group for Young Gay Men “COME OUT”, Novi Sad
  • Knowledge Committee of Serbia - KoznaS, Belgrade;
  • Informal Group “The Young for Užice”, Užice;
  • Youth Center CK13, Novi Sad;
  • The Planet of the Innovative People, Smederevo;
  • “Active Life” Association, Belgrade;
  • Association “Lužnica, My House”, Babušnica;
  • Civil Society "Vido", Kragujevac;
  • Civil Society “Team for Education and Culture – TOK”, Belgrade;
  • Student Society “ESTIEM LG Belgrade”, Belgrade;
  • Vega Youth Center, Beograd;
  • LimArt, Prijepolje.

After the completion of the training, those youth groups will submit their project proposals.  The final decision on the supported projects will be made by Donation Board in February 2012.  The expected amount of the grant is up to 200.000,00 dinars.

Balkan Community Initiatives Fund is realizing "We are on-line” program in cooperation with Fund for an Open Society.

We are on-line!
program was launched with an intention to empower the young to use the new media, social networks and information technologies as the means to encourage activism among their generation and in their community.  The goal of the program is to encourage the young people to activate themselves and to launch in a creative manner the solving of the problems which are important for them, to encourage them to get to know each other and to network, and to enable them to connect with the experts on the new media and information technologies in order to further develop their ideas and activities.
