Arranging the Ripaljka Waterfall Surroundings
Within the first phase of the project “Nature and Tourism – Sokobanja and Ripaljka”, implemented by Mountaineering society “Sharp pike” with the support of Balkan Community Initiative Fund through the program “Active Communities”, two wild landfills have been removed, pedestrian paths have been widened and arranged, billboard with tourist information set as well as garbage cans and little bridge at the base of Ripaljka waterfall has been built.

In a follow up of this action, volunteers of this society and their friends from local community will plant new trees, establish bird houses and feeders along the path leading towards this waterfall.
Long term goal is the preservation of Ripaljka area, the protected natural area of great importance, I category. Ripaljka is the first natural monument in our country protected by the Law since 1948.
The project “Nature and Tourism – Sokobanja and Ripaljka” is being implemented in cooperation with Organization for tourism, sports and culture of Sokobanja, Directorate for urbanism and development Sokobanja And organizations ZOO Planet from Niš.
