Timacus Maius, Niševac
This approach has brought together all members of all generations of the community

We have supported Group of students’ Timacus Maius project, which comes from Niševac in the municipality of Svrljig. In 2008, by working on the improvement and promotion of the cultural life in their community, they organized the first music festival entitled Back to the village, which is a combination of traditional and contemporary types of music. This particular approach has brought together all members of all generations of the community, which has 500 inhabitants. Timacus Maius has strengthened youth activism by this project, and has launched the cooperation with local institutions (Municipality, Cultural center and Hospital) and economy sector, which have supported the project financially. By intense meeting with the other two sectors, the group has successfully organized support for future festivals in Niševac.
